support from the ZB Homes team was key to making build process smooth
The goal
A young couple with two children wanted to build a new home on a 505m2 site in Kihikihi.
The process
The couple chose their home from a selection of ZB Homes’ house and land packages.
With the design already being done, they simply signed the contract and ZB Homes started the process of getting consent from Waipa District Council.
The customer said while “the whole buying aspect was simple and fast”, delays with the council completing their part of the process was time consuming and often frustrating.
However, understanding that this aspect was outside of ZB Homes’ control, they reported that once the build actually got started, it was smooth sailing.
“I enjoyed getting updates of the progress of the house coming together,” the customer said, referring to the BuilderTrend app, which allows our customers to receive regular updates as different parts of their home are completed.
Because the ZB Homes’ house and land package was turnkey, the customers didn’t need to start paying their mortgage until it was completed.
Outcome
“The feature I enjoyed the most was seeing the kitchen getting done as I was excited for the beautiful stone top bench-top I chose!
