Privately owned and operated for almost two decades, ZB Homes is the building company Waikato trusts and depends on for quality, flexibility and progress. These qualities are the reason why many of our clients have come back to work with us.

A member of the Master Builders Association, ZB Homes offers a Master Build 10 year residential building guarantee with all our homes.

Rest assured that in the unlikely event something happens during your build, you will be covered for loss of deposit, extra costs to complete the dwelling, structural defects for 10 years (including weather tightness) as well as non-structural defects, it truly is the most robust guarantee available in New Zealand.

Certainty

Everything is included in your contract price (we leave the curtains/blinds up to you). That way you don’t have to worry about going over budget, or finding extra cash towards at the end of the build, so moving in is much more enjoyable and stress-free. You’ll be provided with a full list of specifications, so you know exactly what your new home will become.

Completion
Certainty

If you’re renting or selling, you need a reliable completion date to work towards. You need to know when to give your landlord notice, or when to settle if you’re selling an existing home. While there are external factors that impact on how long a build takes e.g. the weather, we provide you with an accurate time frame for completion a month out from your build. That way you can go ahead and make all the necessary arrangements you need.

The fun part of building a new home is making it your own; we want you to enjoy this experience! We pride ourselves on providing our clients with a full range of options. Our team stay on the cusp of what is new and exciting, so you are aware of the latest products and technology. You can choose to up spec, spec down or invest more in some rooms and less in others. You can even build an Eco-home or Passive Home. The choice is entirely yours.

Master Builders

ZB Homes are members of the Master Builders Association. Master Builders is different from other associations in that members have to meet rigorous entry criteria that includes being licensed and having a trade qualification. What’s more, to maintain membership we need to demonstrate that we keep up-to-date with the latest building techniques and training.

As part of the ZB experience, you’ll have access to a qualified and experienced Project Manager who will keep you well informed throughout your build. You’ll also have access to our Co-construct software. This easy-to-use software provides you with 24/7 access to building selections, upgrade options, photos and conversations. You’ll be able to see exactly what’s happening on your build. You also have the flexibility to request changes and see what they’ll cost, so you stay in control of your money.

We only source quality, reputable fixtures, fittings, and appliances that we know will stand the test of time. So, you can be confident of your warranties. We support local businesses, retailers, and contractors, so your money is invested back into the community. Our plumbing and electrical materials are sourced from reputable NZ based suppliers and are chosen for their reliability and extensive warranties.

We love our first home and are grateful for the team at ZB for working with our budget and making it such an easy process. We ended up with a lovely new first home, the process was easy and there was always a friendly face from the first meeting to the move in day. Everyone was always there to help which was great, we loved the communication with staff throughout the build! The Co-Construct software was also a huge benefit from my point of view. Being busy it was great to keep track of the build and also be reminded when things needed to be completed at our end. We would definitely recommend ZB Homes, especially to busy individuals who are after a stress free enjoyable process!

For us, there was no reason to not choose ZB in the end! Being local and having offices handy was our initial reason for enquiring, but when we compared our building needs between them and another building company ZB's friendly service and agreement to our design features won us over. Once the red-tape and paperwork was complete and the site prepared, dealing with one project manager was excellent! Using co-construct and having a clear building timeline was helpful and inclusive. Nothing seemed too difficult, each call to Hayden was answered with ease throughout the build and after moving in. We even had visitors looking through the house asking questions looking to build themselves! We would definitely recommend building with ZB as throughout the process the whole team kept us involved in discussing each step.

The process was a joy to behold from the first meeting right through until now! We appreciated the ongoing help, no question was ever seen as ‘stupid’ and the staff were candid in their advice. Loved the system where variation were costed out and not scheduled until approval by us. Staff could not be more helpful and the process was so smooth. We had discussions with other people who had major problems and stuff ups with other builders but we had none of these! We were smiling just as hard at the finish of the built as when we made our first approach. Trust the small company compared to the franchises.
